FSBO sellers are great clients to work with provided you can deliver the information they want when they need it.
One of the primary reasons that FSBO sellers choose to list their home themselves is they believe that real estate agents don't provide enough value for amount of money they are paid.
Simply put they believe all real estate agents are overpaid.
Having FSBO leads as part of your business is easier than you think if you can just demonstrate to FSBO sellers the value that you can provide to them for the sale of their home.
You have to do this without telling them "Hey, I provide value so use me".
When FSBO sellers decide that they are ready to list their home with a real estate professional they need the information to answer their questions immediately and can't wait till the following morning to get their answers. I would like to suggest you keep this in mind when you are following up with FSBO sellers and providing them information.
When I was taking over 300 listings a year over 100 of them where FSBO sellers so I loved working with FSBO sellers. I had to find a way to give them the information they wanted immediately without having to answer their phone calls at 9:00 PM.
There are dozens of great ways to give FSBO sellers the information they need and I want to give you two of my favorites so you can start using them immediately.
Here are my 2 Most Effective Ways to Give FSBO's information (there over a dozen ways, but these will get you started)
Website - This should be no surpise that the Internet is a great way to give FSBO sellers the information they are looking for. I want you to create an entire section on your website dedicated to FSBO sellers with all the information that they would ever want. I don't want you to give it to them though without them providing their information to you, including their phone number. If you provide enough reasons for why they should give it to you they will happily hand you their real phone number, e-mail, & name.
800# - A toll free recorded hotline is a great way to provided dozens of articles and help to a FSBO seller. Let me give you a big hint: if a FSBO seller is calling more than 1 of your hotline numbers for information they need help and make sure to call them back immediately.
